Large-Scale Data Management and Analysis steps ahead at BioQuant

Data Intensive Computing and Data Analysis are key aspects of the activity of the BioQuant Centre. Several projects requested already early urgent needs for storage and management of big amounts of data. The newly created Large Scale Data Facility (LSDF) for Life Sciences at the BioQuant centre is the ideal platform for research and development in these demanding areas. The BioQuant has now full access to the newly setup large data storage called LSDF. Currently 1.2PB of storage capacity are available to selected projects during the initial setup and testing phase. In 2012 the full 6PB of disk storage will be available to the systems biology research scientific community. This facility is run by the BioQuant IT.
